Lowering of the Flag

While watching the sunset, there was a

"Lowering of the Flag" ceremony. For Rob and I,

it is very important to turn any experience into something

that is meaningful where kids can learn

and be exposed to new things. Ayla was mesmerized as she watched

the two girls lower the flag and asked

many questions about the event. This was a wonderful learning

experience for Ayla. She really got a lot out of it!

Alexa on the other hand, well let's just say, this was not
quite the learning experience that it was for Ayla.


Nope, Alexa slept thru the whole ceremony.
Guess we can't check this off the list for
a learning experience for Alexa.
Maybe next year.


I guess we were somewhat successful - 1 out of 2
children benefited from this experience!
